Master Splinter and the Shredders is...
Ready to ROCK you Out!
Master Splinter and the Shredders or "MSATS" is one of the hottest, fastest growing bands on the Southern California music scene and they will fully satisfy any rock n roll craving you may have. With a name like "Master Splinter and the Shredders", you know you're in for some hard charging, high energy, decibel driven good times.
When they take the stage get ready to be blown away, literally! Recently at Miramonte and Killarney's alike, it seemed like several times the roof might actually just rip off and fly away as both buildings were pulsating and shaking to their vibes.
Whether they're just playing some of the best covers you'll ever hear by such rock greats as Zeppelin, (one of the best "Dazed and Confused" ever, rivaling even the original, SEE VIDEO BELOW) to Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd or many others, this band is simply pure enjoyment and entertainment.
In fact, throw any number of musical ingredients into a sonic blender, such as a good helping of classic Rock, a hearty dose of heavy metal, maybe a dash of alternative grunge and even some pinches of jazz/blues fusion. Once it's all in there, start with the stir button to get it going, hit mix to step it up for a bit and watch it blend, then, just push shred, because
that's what comes pouring out of these four guys as they tear thru the recipes of their musical sets. Wait till you hear their take on "Radar Love" with an extremely unique flair of "Ballroom Blitz" tossed in and Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell" with their own 5+ minute middle section weaving original guitar and drum solos throughout. Master Splinter and the Shredders is:
Fronted by lead vocalist Salvatore "Sal" Spinelli
Salvatore "Sal" Spinelli
Sal with the musical influences of his own parents and grandparents knew it was inevitable that music would be an important if not driving force in his life as well. He has played guitar for over half his life, however as the lead vocals for "MSATS" he captures the crowd immediately with the clear timbre yet stunningly strong impact of his dynamic voice. He plans in the near future to offer voice lessons and anyone wanting to take advantage of their own vocal abilities would be well served by having him coach and fine tune them.
Sal is backed up on guitars and vocals by the brothers Kilpatrick,
Brennan and Ryan Kilpatrick
Brennan on Lead and Ryan on Bass do the heavy lifting on the sonic machine that is "MSATS". Brennan teaches guitar professionally as well, so if you have any budding rock stars that are wanting to play the axe you couldn't find a better person to teach it. (Check out Video at bottom for his expertise, with over a 105,000 Views !!).
In the Engine room is Anthony Raya
Anthony on drums as Sal puts it, is the perfectionist and musical mathematician of the group ensuring the synergy and preciseness of the "MSATS" sound, he provides the percussion foundation that underlies the "MSATS" sound. Coming together a little over 4 years ago in a typical garage band scenario they quickly started making a name for themselves in local venues. Recently they have started to write and record their own original music, (Listen to AUDIO Below) as well, as they evolve into a musical presence and force that is destined to be felt and heard far beyond their origins in Temecula.
"MSATS" is able to cater to a very large variety of crowds. For those who like to dance, those who like to scream, to those who like to enjoy instrumental fusion and to those who want to feel the slow blues. Their ability to transform any room into a great vibe with charisma and musical abilities is what they take pride in. Sal and Brennan do an awesome more laid back acoustic duo as well. (See Video of Sal and Brennan below)
While Master Splinter and the Shredders play mostly the bar/club scene, you can also catch them out in wine country on some weekends.
They will also play at your wedding, events (private, corporate), birthday party, whatever!
Anytime you have a chance to catch "MSATS" you're in for a foot stompin, rebel yelling GOOD time!
Check out their website at Master Splinter and the Shredders.com for more information and GREAT merchandise as well.
As promised here is Brennan showing his expertise on guitar, so if any of you are budding Jimmy Pages, he's the man to get you there!
Be sure to let them know you heard about them on Temecula Night Out.
